At the conference, international scientists and representatives from Helsinki and Berlin will discuss and compare the role and the development of not only Finnish and German but also other European Metropolitan regions. Main topics of the conference are the questions of globalisation and urban competitiveness, as well as culture and innovation as driving forces of the metropolitan regions. Further on, the innovative strategies of Helsinki and Berlin will be introduced and the results of the Baltic Metropolitan Innovation Project will be presented.
