Als Teil des “research and design project” unprivate housing tokyo hat unser Kollege Gunnar das Projekt des SWAP_SHOP entwickelt.
“One of the most important urban component of Akihabara is the crossing of the railway lines at Akihabara station. Although this infrastructure cuts the district into two parts, inhabitation of this structure allows continuity to be established. The strategy of the project is uses the underside of the railway as a space for exhibition and exchange for otaku using a combination of the aesthetics of industrial structure and manga.”
Das Webdesign dieses Projekts stammt von say-nono. We say: YEAH!
Auch die anderen Projekte sind einen Blick wert und insbesondere die Geschichte zur Stadtentwicklung Tokyos unter stadtplanerischen Gesichtspunkten interessant.
